    Viking WP Parents - Meeting Follow-up!

    September 5th

      Greetings Viking Parents!  Thank you so much for all of your participation in the parent meeting last week.  Here are a number of follow-up items from the meeting that I wanted to make sure you all received.  

      • REMINDER starting tomorrow Sept 6th - Oct 4th practice time moves to 8:15 - 9:45PM!!!
      • REMINDER We are taking team photos tomorrow Sept. 6th at the beginning of practices.  PLEASE BE ON-TIME OR EARLY IF POSSIBLE. 
      • Social Media!!! Here are the social media links we discussed.   
      • We would love to have a few parent volunteers to help organize a Car Wash Fundraiser before the end of the season.  Time is running out so please email me directly ([email protected]) or chat with me tomorrow night at practice.  
      • Spirit wear sales for the State Tournament: Live Now Until September 12
        • GHSWPA will  be taking pre-orders online for spirit wear sales until September 12th.

        • As with last year, we will pre-package orders by player for pick-up by a team representative on the first tournament weekend.
        • We will have a limited amount of additional spirit wear for sale at the tournament. We can only guarantee specific sizes and items if orders are placed in advance. We have run out of hoodies the past 2 years.

      • Do you want to purchase Ads in the State Program?: Due September 8
        • Interested in purchasing an ad for your company or special good luck message for your senior/player?
        • Here are the sponsorship options. If interested, fill out this survey. Payment will be due by the state tournament (details sent to anyone purchasing an ad)

      • Mark your calendars for the weekend of OCT 21-22 and the USAWP Olympic Development Program camp. As it does every year, this camp both:

        • Welcomes players of all ability levels (including brand new who are strong swimmers)
        • Is a selection camp for the USAWP Southeast Zone ODP coaches to determine players to compete at ODP Eastern and National championship tournaments (and possible selection for their age group national team).
        • Camp staff will include elite-level coaches from the Southeast and National levels.
      • Any girls are interested in playing in the Battle of the Bay tournament in Nov 11-12 please use this link:  https://northatlantawaterpolo.teamtopia.com/regist...
        • Deadline to register is Sept. 15th.

      • Any Boys wanted to play at Battle of the Bay contact Pam Hege ([email protected]).  The deadline to commit for them is Sept 8th.  We already have a number of players committed to play so come join the team down in Florida!
