Viking WP - NO PRACTICE TONIGHT and other updates!
Greetings Vikings! I hope everyone had a great Spring Break and are ready to experience the Solar Eclipse! We were informed today that the heater at the pool is broken and the temperature tonight may not be ideal for practice. So, we are going to cancel practice tonight. We plan to make it up in the next week or so with a scrimmage with Chamblee on a Tuesday or Thursday so please stay tuned. We will send out information about that as soon as we have it.
Also, I want to share a very exciting development for youth Water Polo in Atlanta. There is a NEW water polo league being formed called the Atlanta Water Polo League and their first informational meeting is TOMORROW NIGHT via Zoom. All are welcome to attend and you can go here for the meeting information:
Our own head coach Bella Nunez is a founding member along with Viking legend, Andy Neff. I encourage all that are interested to hear more and the reasons why this is happening to please join the meeting. Myself and the Viking WP board have been participating in the early discussions but we have waited to bring any of this to the parents and athletes until the first real informational session. I will personally send out more details after the meeting for those that can't make it. But, please look through the information on the website, that is the best way to get informed to the motivation behind this development.
